Although there is a definite shift in the retail landscape and consumer’s buying habits are forever changing I do not see this as doom and gloom for brick-and-mortar retailers. IMHO, it does mean retailers need to be looking for new ways of ‘wowing’ customers and finding effective ways of using digital marketing to lure new local consumers, including being very mobile user-friendly.

Whether online e-retailing or off-line retailing meeting the customer’s expectations and creating a positive experience for the customer is a must today. Otherwise, customer reviews and online social conversations will surely cost you future business.
